Schreiber Brothers Development is a Baltimore-based affordable housing company on a mission to revitalize transitional and under-invested neighborhoods. We transform vacant, distressed properties into vibrant, affordable, mixed-income housing and commercial spaces.
We believe real estate should be a force for good. We redevelop blighted or underutilized buildings, restoring them in a historically-appropriate, culturally sensitive, and environmentally-conscious way. We design spaces and places where people of all incomes can live, work, and thrive without being displaced.
We are the first Certified Passive House Builder (CPHB) in Baltimore City. We design and build nearly all of our projects to achieve Zero-Energy and/or Passive House certifications.

We partner with neighborhood residents, business owners, and local nonprofits so that our work reflects the aspirations and vision of the community. We only pursue development without displacement.

From zero-energy multi-family buildings to full-gut green retrofits, we deliver housing that lowers cost burdens for residents at the lowest carbon pathway possible.

We focus on “scatter-site” and adaptive reuse projects to encourage mixed-income communities. This creates a diverse fabric of housing, commercial uses, and longevity in the neighborhood.
